FORCEfull Scriptures - The Power of the Cross

Our magnet puzzle is a  wonderful introduction to some of the names of the Jesus. Each piece of the magnet has a picture, title and bible verse. Throughout the series we will be discussing these names and many more.

Our theme song will be El Shaddai, which is a lovely song that is translated as "God Almighty" by the United Methodist Hymnal. Click the link to see a video of El Shaddai which plays and highlights the aspect of The Lion of Judah

All of the verses for the Power of the Cross magnet puzzle are listed below along with links to the reading within Bible Study Tools using the Good News Translation.

1. Jesus, the Lamb of God

    John 1:29   

The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "There is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

2. Jesus, the Prince of Peace
    Isaiah 9:6

A child is born to us! A son is given to us! And he will be our ruler. He will be called, "Wonderful Counselor," "Mighty God," "Eternal Father," "Prince of Peace."

The Power of the Cross - Lent Series

The Lenten Season is here and we found these really cool magnets that help us learn about Jesus and celebrate the time until Easter.  This year Easter is April 4. 2010.

Christian Tools of Affirmation (CTA) has produced a wonderful tool that allows us to discuss one attribute of Jesus per week. Each piece will be given to the kids/youth to take home weekly as we discuss the topic. When all the pieces are put together they will form a beautiful cross with a heart in the center.
